In Joensuu's first Press Release, I'd like to introduce my team to you, as a young and unexperienced group of finnish and some ohter riders, with big goals.
After some failures at the beginning, as possibly nearly everybone experienced, Joensuu is developing and looks forward to a succesful future.
The name Joensuu, means rivermouth and is one of the most beautiful cities in Finland.
I'll develop Finnish riders, but use the experience of some foreign guys too.
The Team hasn't get a clear direction whether it's a sprinting or a climbing team. (Maybe I should decide ^^ )
Anyway, there are two Captains that you shold be aware of:
Ilkka Weilin, a nice sprinter with Olavi Hermesniemi and Pyry Linna as its most importent helpers.
On the other hand:
Jussi Näränen, a climbing talent, which is a little bit alone with Danish Morten Christophersen as a helper with own ambitions for win.
Christophersen actually got the first victory for Team Joensuu in Heinola . Asikkala. A nice win in a "homerace".
Season 20 will primarily be used to get more experience and maybe less racing because of still low DPs. Step by step Joensuu will raise his position in Division 8.
A small team with big ambitions :) that's what we are!
